About Us

Founder: Stephanie Cochrane, the sole founder of Hearthstone Cottage Shop, L3C has devoted the majority of her professional career to early childhood education and administration, including co-owning/operating a successful home daycare in metro Detroit. Guided by a driving commitment to lead by example, her lifelong mission has been to inspire and support growth. Independence and personal resilience continues to expand as she gracefully overcomes significant loss. This founder is dedicated to creating an inclusive, welcoming space that offers accessible, diverse opportunities for healing, learning and connection.  

Mission Statement: Much like the hearthstone of a home, Hearthstone Cottage Shop is a warm, steady community space dedicated to blending passions through enriching experiences that strengthen personal and collective connections. As a holistic resale shop, we prioritize social and charitable exchange as our primary purpose, fostering inclusivity and well-being. While profits support our sustainability, our intentional commitment to community enrichment and healing remains at the heart of our mission.

Products/Services: The shop operates as an accessible holistic home & life resale store, while also offering products including a handmade line of cleaning supplies, supplements, wellness and artisan items. Alongside the on-going retail experience, HCS curates and hosts a variety of educational and therapeutic events such as art workshops, plant and seed swaps, music gatherings and food experiences. Local vendors and instructors providing handmade goods and therapeutic services are also encouraged to get involved, fostering a diverse, collaborative and supportive community environment. Finally, we offer flex space for organizations in need of work/meeting space, retreats, team-building, etc.
